Penyem village Gambia

       Penyem village is located about 35 minutes drive from the River Gambia and 46 minutes drive from the Atlantic ocean on the west coast of Gambia. Penyem is also conveniently located 4 miles from Brikama where villagers buy and sell food. In addition, schools, household items, construction hardware, and pharmacy are easily accessible by taxi and van transport. The roads are level so bicycles are a popular mode of travel for young and old. The village has a population of approximately 3500 inhabitants who are mostly Muslims . The ethnic groups that live in Penyem village are majority Jolas including the village Alkali. Fulas are the second largest community and a few mandinka families as well. The village is peaceful and people live in harmony which is the case across Gambia. Al Huda Masjid

 Al Huda Masjid will open for the five daily prayers and Friday sermon, accommodating at least 150 to 200 people in the prayer hall. The male's prayer section on the ground floor and the female's prayer section on the first floor. Al Huda Masjid will also reduce the walking distance by ten to fifteen minutes for many people living in Penyem Village. This shortened walking time will help the community as many people do not pray in the masjid except after walking 20 or 15 minutes which leads to men praying in their houses, hence the masjid will alleviate this big problem. Build A Mosque

The reward is truly immense, Allaah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said:   “Whoever builds a Mosque for the sake of Allaah, Allaah will build for him a house in Paradise.”   (Reported by Bukhaaree and Muslim). On an occasion, the noble Companion, Uthmaan (may Allah be pleased with him) addressed his companions saying:   “I ask you by Allaah and Islaam! Life in Gambia as a Muhaajir

 The Gambia walhamdulillah is a muslim country and its very welcoming to all foreigners, for instance a muhaajir in the country can buy and own his property and build as he/ she pleases.    As a muhaajir ( immigrant) the most important issue is to make sure that you  are dealing with a trustworthy somebody and get in contact before coming and try to get a genuine information before embarking on the journey.
