 Asalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh

                        

                                       My name is Yusupha Bah, a Gambian, but everyone knows me as Yusuf. I spent part of my youth studying the Quran in The Gambia and began my adult life in Europe, mainly in Luxembourg and sometimes in Germany. Alhamdulillah, so I speak Arabic, English, German and French and four other African languages. During my stay in Luxembourg I became acquainted with the Masjid Al Huda on the French border with Luxembourg, where I often traveled back and forth to attend lectures and Jumm'ah prayers before eventually settling there. Alhamdulillah after the permission of Allah, and thanks to the imam Abdu Kareem who used to give many lectures about Hijrah (migration to the Muslim land), I decided to return back to The Gambia in October 2020 with the intention of making Hijra back to a Muslim country and reuniting with my family. Currently, I live with my mother and five sisters in my compound (house) as a family man. My wife will also join me in a couple of months after finishing memorizing Quran insha'Allah because she is in her final stage Alhamdulillah. I have small laundromat business Alhamdulillah where I earn my sustenance for my family.

Build A Mosque

The reward is truly immense, Allaah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said:   “Whoever builds a Mosque for the sake of Allaah, Allaah will build for him a house in Paradise.”   (Reported by Bukhaaree and Muslim). On an occasion, the noble Companion, Uthmaan (may Allah be pleased with him) addressed his companions saying:   “I ask you by Allaah and Islaam! Do you know that the Mosque of the Prophet ( ﷺ ) was too small for its people, so the Messenger of Allaah ( ﷺ ) said: ‘Who will purchase the land of the family of so-and-so and add it to this Mosque in exchange for better than that in Paradise?’ So I bought it with the core of   my wealth and presented it to the Messenger.”   (Reported authentically by at- Tirmidhee, no. 3703)  And there are lot more rewards and benefits in helping to build a masjid, with the great benefits that it is going to bring a tremendous impact on the community because insha'Allah, the masjid will be connected with scholars and the elderly students ...

Life in Gambia as a Muhaajir

 The Gambia walhamdulillah is a muslim country and its very welcoming to all foreigners, for instance a muhaajir in the country can buy and own his property and build as he/ she pleases.    As a muhaajir ( immigrant) the most important issue is to make sure that you  are dealing with a trustworthy somebody and get in contact before coming and try to get a genuine information before embarking on the journey.
